The whole group has been fantastic and we have all vowed to carry on until we reach out goals so good luck guys although we are all keeping in touch. I will keep you updated.

I always feel a bit drained and grumpy on my second low carb day but I am looking forward to my fruit and yoghurt for breakfast again tomorrow thats gets me through.

I am really looking forward to our final weigh in (well final of the 30lb in 30 day challenge) I really want to compare my before and after photos I really cant believe it truly amazing everyone keeps commenting on my weight loss and asking how I have managed it I have sent so many people to Dax's website http://www.mylondonpersonaltrainer.com

I am going away this weekend on a boys golfing trip thankfully it is after the challenge is over I am going to enjoy myself but not overindulge I will not be drinking any beer!! and then come monday it will be straight back into the exercise and Elimination Diet. I will be so disappointed if I put even 1lb on so I will be very strict with myself!!

All my clothes are far too big for me amazing!!! I am so pleased although I look ridiculous everything is just hanging off me good job Sarah has hit the sales I need a whole new wardrobe!!! I am pretty sure I will need 34"waist trousers now as my 36" are like clown pants lol!! I couldn't tell you how long it has been since I have been this size I am astounded by how much my body has changed.

I really want to lose another stone I can't imagine what I will look like then I will have to keep up my blog to keep me on track I can't let all this hard work go to waste!!

Fasting day again it is getting easier but I am always so ready for my dinner, steak, fried egg and corn on the cob mmm.

New workouts done yesterday forgot to tell you about those wow fun check them out on youtube under Dax moy body weight workouts try them if you dare!!!!!!!! lol. Really tough I really thought I was much fitter and stronger but wow they will definately take some mastering.

I am going to really try not to weigh or measure myself now until the end I really want to drop the 3lb to get me under 15st although obviously more than that would be amazing. Right off to do my meltdown now and give it all I've got!!! ;)

I feel a lot better today, especially this afternoon I think the carbs definately affect my moods although its probably psychological lol!

Weigh in disappointing but not unexpected no weight loss this time not really sure why but will re-assess my portion sizes and carry on. Only 5 days to go I must shed that annoying 3lb to get me under 15 stone time to really work hard and find extra effort for my workouts make sure I eat on time and not too much watch this space lol!!! ;)

A bit of a low energy day today really struggling not felt well at all, very achey tired etc. Probably not helped by the rugby training last night. I managed to lose my wedding ring during training it must be because of all the weight I've lost!! so had a terrible night sleep worrying about it. This morning I spent 3 hours on the rugby pitch with a metal detector not the best way to start the day, and I didn't find it either so I guess thats why I am feeling down :(

Had a prawn stir fry for dinner tonight and I really enjoyed it I have been struggling a bit for new meal ideas and tend to stick to the same ones which gets a bit boring.

Looking foorward to carb day tomorrow have got my strawberries and greek yoghurt ready!! Its also weigh in day but I am not so optimistic this time so any loss will be great. Its not that I haven't stuck to the plan but just perhaps because I feel a bit low. Lets see what tomorrow brings!! ;)

What a way to start the day meltdown at 6.30am I think it is my least favourite workout but I always feel good after. I have got rugby training again tonight which I am looking forward to.

I really enjoyed my dinner tonight pan fried salmon fillet on wilted spinach even better because it was ready when I walked through the door after work! ;)

Its hard to believe that this time next week the challenge will be over well the official one I will still be carrying on myself until I reach my goal weight.

Pretty good day today hungry by tea time but found it fine again not hungry at all during the day its more that eating is a habit lol! Drank my water and some of the special diuretic water ;) for dinner I had lemon garlic chicken with fried cabbage and bacon mmm love it.

2 workouts done just 1 to go will do that as soon as I finish writing this looking forward to trying a new workout Dax has been working on sounds intruiging????

Weigh in day again today lost another 3lb which takes me to a stone I am so pleased.

8 days to go am really giving it my all really want to see how much more I can lose!!!

Mmmm love my carb days fruit and yoghurt for breakfast, trout and new potatoes for lunch and my old faithful chicken curry with brown rice for dinner with snacks of ham and eggs, ready for fasting again tomorrow.


Looking forward to weighing in and measuring again tomorrow I am hoping to have lost more weight and inches I do feel as though I have so fingers crossed!


I have felt very tired and lethargic today so have had a lazy day, I have still done all my workouts but managed to get them all done before it got too late. I also managed to sneak in a quick nap this afternoon which definately helped.


I have decided to post some more pictures as someone requested I can definately see a difference so its spurred me on I hope it does the same for others.

All going well not much new to report, I am enjoying the workouts and improving my reps/times etc flexibility noticibly better. We have now been given 5 different workouts and are awaiting number 6 so the variety is great.

I am quite used to the diet plan now and still am not missing anything in particular, so I can live without beer, chocolate and take-aways after all!!! lol ;)

Had a bit of a down day not sure why but went round to see the inlaws and sister in law was there and they all made a big fuss of how great I looked and how my body shape had drastically changed so that really made me feel great!! When I got home I printed out a few photos of before and after 1 week then 2 weeks and wow you can really tell I haven't put any on here yet as I want to just do the before and after so watch this space lol 10 days to go!!

I am sooo glad today is over although the fast wasn't nearly as bad as I expected not really been hungry at all amazing!!!!!! just eaten my dinner it was heaven, steak with garlic mushrooms mmmm.

Well it was officially weigh in day today so here are my results........

Waist 38"
Hips 43"
Thigh 27"
Calf 16"
Arm 15"

Thats a weight loss of 11lb and 8" so far yeeaahhhhhh!!!

I am so pleased and although I'm not suppoosed to I know I will have to weigh myself in the morning to see how the fast has affected my weight (sshhh don't tell Dax! :)

The temptation to weigh myself everyday is so hard to resist I must admit to having the odd sneaky look but will officially weigh in and measure tomorrow before the fasting results show!!!!

I was so pleased with rugby training last night it was no problem at all my fitness and flexibility have definately improved just hobbling about with lots of blisters on my feet today and a huge bruise, scrape and lump on my temple from being accidentally kicked in the head Sarah was not impressed lol.

Workouts all fine again doing well. I enjoyed my carb day strawberries, raspberries and greek yoghurt for breakfast, chicken kebabs and new potatoes for lunch and my favourite chicken curry with brown rice for dinner with snacks of fruit and sausages. Thats it food wise now until 7pm tomorrow not sure how that will affect me I have never done a fast before so I am looking forward to it in a strange way. Will post tomorrow and let you know how I get on!

Well another good day again for me poached eggs for breakfast, tuna and salad for lunch and chicken kebabs for tea.

I have been looking forward to having another carb day stocked up on the fruit and yoghurt better sensibly make the most of it because Dax has thrown another bombshell at us!!!!! fasting!!!! me!!! lol actually I am looking forward to the challenge lets see what happens!

I love the way this program keeps us on our toes and we don't know what to expect next I usually get bored of diets but this I am really enjoying and because I am seeing results quickly it is definately keeping me focused.

Workouts all fine I actually feel so good I am going to rugby training tonight which usually just about kills me so lets see if I am any fitter!!!

So excited today am really feeling good can't believe we are halfway through don't get me wrong this 30 day challenge is TOUGH but we are all seeing results some are losing a lot more weight than others but even the ones not losing much are still seeing inch loss and feeling good! I can't wait to weigh in tomorrow I am hoping for good results I feel like I will have lost something and I feel slimmer so fingers crossed the scales agree lol!

I have done all my workouts already today I am so tired I wanted to get the meltdown done before it got late so I did it before tea today.

I am struggling a bit for meal ideas and snacks but we all the challengers are putting our heads together to come up with ideas. Today I had ham and eggs for breakfast, a snack of cashews for lunch I had ham and mushroom omelette and for dinner I had roast chicken with fried cabbage and leeks mmm really enjoyed that! lol.

Love the carb days!!!!!! I really look forward to having my fruit and yoghurt for breakfast lol never thought I'd say that a couple of weeks ago! had strawberries, raspberries and greek yoghurt it was delicious mmm.

Had to go out with my rugby team today there was a memorial service and we ended up in a pub (of course) I am so proud of myself I had 2 pints of water with ice now theres dedication for you.

I am still enjoying the workouts and doing really well its not really a chore now as I feel so good afterwards improvements in all of them today again go me!!

I need to get my meals sorted out though I haven't really done a proper meal plan and although I have not had anything I shouldn't have Its a pain having to think what to have and go to the shop everyday planning is the way to go.

Tough day...... felt really tired and lethargic today first day I have felt like cheating but I wouldn't I had to leave the staff room today as everyone was tucking into big breakfast barms and I could feel my resolve weakening.

I treated myself to some organic fillet steak, sausage and garlic mushrooms for tea that made me feel much better! Looking forward to carb day really craving some dry roast potatoes mmm.

New workout today was good I can definately feel it in my stomach, this workout is designed to work all 600 muscles in the body wow! in 20 mins!

Day 11.......

Boo :( I have been so excited waiting for today to arrive so that I could weigh and measure myself as we haven't been allowed since monday. I really expected to see a big change. I was secretly hoping to have lost about 3lb but no just the 1lb which is quite good I guess but when you are really pushing yourself to your absolute limits getting up an hour earlier to workout before going to work, and sticking rigidly to a diet I really am giving this 30 day challenge my all but I must admit I am disappointed.

I keep focusing on the health benefits I do feel much healthier and I feel more toned its just the scales that disagree with me lol! Perhaps I should focus more on how I feel and how my clothes fit when did we all get so hung up on weighing scales and our weight its just a number right? So I am not going to let it get me down onwards and upwards (actually downwards preferably!!)

Workouts all good all 3 completed I am aiming for an early night tonight I try to get to sleep by 10.30pm and I get up at 6.15am but this hot weather keeps waking me up so lights out by 10pm tonight.

We are now officially 1/3 of the way through Dax Moy's 30lb in 30 days challenge it has been, long and very hard but also enjoyable and definately challenging!!

I am really enjoying the program I feel better than I have done in a long time, I have lots of energy and just feel energised. I really think that my eating habits will have changed permanently after this. I am enjoying the healthy foods and I am not missing the foods I really thought I would like bread, chocolate and beer. I also intend to keep to the level of exercise we have been doing as I really enjoy it and it has quickly become part of my daily routine.

I have been steadily increasing my reps in my workouts and I am amazed by how quickly ny fitness is improving.

Mmmm carb day!!!! I have really enjoyed my food today, I had fruit and yoghurt for breakfast, chilli and garlic king prawn salad for lunch and chicken curry with brown rice for tea with snacks of nuts and fruit inbetween.

I have felt really good today even though our youngest monster had us awake from 5am but I did manage to sneak in an afternoon sleep! Workouts all good today well haven't done the last one yet but will do asap.

I wore a T-shirt today that I haven't been able to wear in a long time, although I have only lost 4lb it's the inches that make the difference. I am always a bit concious about my chest area and don't like clingy tops, but I am feeling much more confident which is great!

Feeling a bit better today, I think the sunshine helps, really enjoyed my tea tonight mmmm fried cabbage and bacon with organic sausage (more healthy than it sounds lol!) I am really looking forward to my carb day tomorrow I have really missed my fruit and yoghurt.

Exercise today was really good enjoyed switching things round a bit did really well with my pyramid training so I am feeling good!

I have to try and make sure I get more sleep as although I am going to bed early enough I keep waking up probably due to the heat.

Still not a massive weight loss yet but not bad 4lb in a week, I have to wait now until thursday to weigh and measure I am hoping for a bit more of a change by then but at least I am under 16 stone now.

Just my meltdown workout to go which is appropriate as I probably will melt I am starting to psyche myself up for it anytime now.................................................. no I am going to do it right now!!!!

Tough day today woke up feeling like I had been hit by a bus, no energy completely wiped out, I was also really snappy and bad tempered. I still managed my workout, and after getting loads of support from Dax and the other members of the 30-in-30 group I felt much better.

Had a BBQ this afternoon for Sarah's birthday and I had some lovely chicken kebabs, and some organic sausages and drank my water. No problems.

New workout this morning which I really enjoyed, it was tough but I wouldn't expect anything else by now lol! I think my general fitness is improving.

About to go make my tea and only got workout 3 left to do later.

Dax has advised from now on we should only weigh and measure ourselves twice a week that will be difficult after having done it daily so far but I am hoping for a big difference in leaving it longer between. So far I have lost 3.75lb and 4 inches in total not bad for less than a week but believe me I have worked for it!!

All change today got up expecting to have the usual kind of breakfast and Wham!! a complete diet plan shake up Great! straight to my local butcher and (unprocessed) bacon and scrambled egg for breakfast yum.

I then spent the next hour trying to work out a new meal plan for the next 4 days and its finding low carb unprocessed snacks I'm having problems with got the usual nuts, avocado etc but not very creative so I'm watching everyone else's blogs for ideas.

I am really proud of myself. We took the girls to a fair today and I made sure I had eaten my lunch a mushroom and pepper omelette before we went. Everyone had hotdogs and chips but I didn't even feel tempted. Go me!!!

Workout this morning fine again all densities improving felt a bit of a "low" around teatime and I had to push myself to do my workout before I ate. I just diidn't feel that I had the energy to do it, but after I felt much better, and I managed my best time yet!.

Just workout 3 to go before bed no sweat! (actually there will be bucket loads as usual! lol)

Day 5.........

Still going strong and feeling good, no headaches, more energy than I have had in a long time feeling refreshed and clean.

Sarah says my face already looks slimmer! not a massive weight loss so far but have lost about 3 1/2 inches so I am pleased about that.

I am really enjoying the workouts but I know they will all change tomorrow lol so much for not aching anymore, no rest for the wicked!!!!

Sarah is out tonight so I have had to fend for myself just had some chicken with saute chilli new potatoes carrots and mange tout, quite the domestic God. (Or something like that!!)

The support that Dax has been giving to all of us "chosen ones" for his 30lb in 30 days challenge is great http://mylondonpersonaltrainer he is always ready with encouragement or a kick up the backside its nice to know he is there as are all the others and we are all supporting each other.

Day 4.......

I woke up this morning dreading getting out of bed, just waiting for the aching to start, I got out of bed and wow not too bad today I even managed to walk down the stairs without ooh-ing and oww-ing!

Workout 1 is much better, I am improving daily and my recovery time is much quicker. I am still dripping in sweat after I finish and it still almost kills me but definately improving!!!!!!
I think this is still my favourite although I do enjoy all 3.

The detox headache has all but gone unfortunately suffering with hayfever though today.

I am noticing my clothes are starting to feel a bit looser and I feel that my muscles are feeling more defined I also feel less bloated.

I am really enjoying this program it was just the kick up the backside that I needed, and I feel better than I have done in a long time. Thanks Dax! http://mylondonpersonaltrainer

Day 3.......

OWWWWWW I am in serious pain I don't think there is one part of my body that doesn't hurt!!!! I keep thinking no pain no gain right???

I am starting to think maybe I did something bad to Dax Moy in a previous life??? Here we are day 3 of his 30lb in 30 days challenge check it out http://www.mylondonpersonaltrainer
So day 3 not much change in weight to speak of yet but lost a few inches so I'm pleased about that. The workouts are still tough but I am improving. I almost forgot last nights workout I was so tired and was just about to crawl into bed when Sarah reminded me, I must admit I felt good after it and Sarah ran me a hot bath which was needed to ease my aching muscles.

I am enjoying the short intensive workouts as they don't take long but I can definately feel that they are working.

Food wise all good had some really nice parma ham and melon today and just had an amazing chicken curry all Elimination diet friendly!! I'm getting used to drinking all the water now although I'm sure my legs wouldn't hurt half as much if I didn't make so many trips to the toilet!! lol.

Just about to do my last workout and get an early night I keep waking up really early 5am!!
I am feeling really good and very positive I feel a difference in my body already I need to keep on with this I will reach my ideal weight my aim is to be able to run a marathon at the minute I can't even think aboout it as my weight affects my knees when I run I read about all these challenges like the one Dax Moy mentioned running a marathon through the Sahara and someone Sarah knows has just come back from climbing a mountain and doing a bike ride etc in Borneo Things like that really appeal to me so I need to shift this weight!

Day 2.....

Ok so today is day 2 of Dax Moy's 30-in 30 challenge and so far it is great, hard, painful but great!
I am getting used to what I can and can't eat now, and I have a menu plan and list of snacks sorted.
I'm enjoying eating clean healthy food. I especially like the A-Z of veg good idea as we usually stick to the same ones.
Workout 1 this morning was tough as I was still aching from yesterday, but did it and improved my densities I am really concentrating on my technique. I then had a really tasty mushroom omelette for breakfast which Sarah made for me whilst I had a shower.
After work I did workout 2 again improving my reps, and times I am amazed at how quickly my fitness is improving. I am really aching though everywhere. I guess working just about every muscle in my entire body three times a day will do that!!
I am making sure that I eat every 3 hours and have snacked on fruit with live bio yoghurt, and nuts. It's salmon with asparagus and new potatoes tonight so I'm looking forward to that.
I enjoyed workout 3 last night and although I am really achey I am still looking forward to each workout.
I have told everyone about this challenge I think that Sarah has told the world so I have no choice but to put in 110%. I am also thinking about goals that I want to achieve and will achieve I will put these on for extra motivation soon not that I need any!!
Oh yes and the detox headache has just set in trying hard to ignore it and I am drinking litres and litres of water, might have a really early night even earlier than Dax's curfew lol!.

DAY 1..

Today was day 1 of my 30 in 30 diet with London Personal Trainer Dax Moy's 30lbs in 30 days challenge,

I was up at about 6 to do my first training session. It was harder than I thought it would be, but I really enjoyed it. I did the second lot of training when i got home from work. I had the wife and kids counting and timing it all..
once I have finished typing this up I will do number 3, And if I can still walk go and sort my food out for tomorrow.

Martin's 30lb in 30 days!!

This is my first ever Blog so please bear with me!! I am about to embark on London Personal Trainer Dax Moy's 30lb in 30 days challenge. http://www.mylondonpersonaltrainer.com/.
My name is Martin I am 33 years old I have been married 7 years and have 2 daughters aged 2 and 4. I am doing this because I have struggled with my weight for the last 5 years and I really need a kick up the backside to get me back to the weight I should be. I play Rugby union and enjoy golf, bike riding and walking my dog.
Ok I can't put it off any longer here are my stats:
Height 6 foot.
Weight 16st 2lb (226lb)
Chest 44" (112cm)
Waist 41.5" (105cm)

Hips 44" (112cm)

Thigh 27" (68cm)

Calf 16" (41cm).

I am really excited about this challenge and I don't underestimate that it will be tough but I'm ready and 100% committed. and for motivation I can check out my before photo's!!!!
Sorry I have been trying to rotate these photo's for over an hour and I haven't been able to figure it out so I'm afraid until I manage it you will have to tilt your head!! lol.
